Next Sunday (May 19th, 8PM), along side #StillAwesome and Four Color Fantasies, I will be premiering my video for “Run It” at the Alamo Drafthouse Winchester (181 Kernstown Commons Blvd, Winchester, VA 22602). Directed by Zack David (“Hurts”), this will be the first showing before the eventual online release. See it before the rest if you’re in the area and after the video, you’ll get to enjoy the 90s as all hell, Tank Girl.
The year is 2033. The Earth has been struck by a comet leading to a massive drought. Tank Girl (Lori Petty) is among the few survivors. Riding a war tank, she fights against the tyranny of a mega-corporation that dominates the remaining potable water supply of the planet.
What's not to love about this '90s cult classic (based on the British comic strip) featuring a bevy of badass ladies, an Iggy Pop cameo, and Ice-T as a mutant kangaroo?! Did we mention it was directed by Rachel Talalay, Catherine Hardwicke acted as production designer, and Courtney Love compiled the equally cult classic soundtrack that featured Hole, Björk, DEVO, Joan Jett, Veruca Salt, L7, Portishead, and more?!
